Generations Baptist Mission was established
as a local church missionary outreach of Vernon Baptist
Church,
for the purpose of helping the local church reach children and their families with the good news of the Gospel of Christ.
In addition to helping church planters and the local church with their own evangelistic outreach ministries, we at GBM provide
on - going support for pastors and teachers through teacher training, childrens workers conferences, and our newsletter, The
Teachers Treasure Chest and Camp Penuel. We are also looking forward to providing curriculum,
tape, radio ministries in the future.
We
cannot accomplish this ministry alone. We need people like you, who the Lord leads, to join the GBM team. Would you like to
become a part of an exciting ministry of reaching children and their families
with the Gospel of Christ?
Every team has different members who provide
different talents and abilities who are essential in bringing overall victory.
Prayer Warriors:
First of all we need those to whom the Lord
has given a burden for the GBM ministry and are willing to promise to pray for us on a regular basis. Prayer is such a vital
part of this ministry. We need those who purpose in their hearts to hold us up in prayer. A young ministry such as GBM has
many needs. We need wisdom to make the right decisions, we also need prayer for our many physical and financial needs. So
many times we have asked people to pray for us, knowing they may pray a few times, but after that they do not have the burden
to continue praying for us. We need prayer warriors!
Ideas:
If you are a teacher who has an idea for an
object lesson, scripture song, review game or lesson plan that has been a blessing to you and your class, please share them
with us so we may share them with others.
Clerical Help:
We need individuals who have abilities in
spelling and grammar to volunteer to help us proofread printed material. We also need someone who is willing to help with
some of the secretarial needs of the ministry.
Artistic Help:
We need people who are willing to volunteer
to help illustrate the lessons and prepare visual aids.
Summer Missionaries:
We need senior high and college age teenagers
who want to give of their time during the summer as summer missionaries.
Regional Missionaries:
We are looking for couples and individuals
who, after training, are willing to raise their own support and work through their local church helping with teacher training
and coordinating childrens ministries with other local churches of like precious faith in their areas.
Evangelist / Missionaries:
Are you the type of individual or couple who
believe that the Lord is calling you into the ministry of an evangelist reaching children and helping churches train Sunday
school and Jr. Church teachers? If so, come and work with us and get your training.
Financial Support:
Pastor: if you believe that
the Lord would want your church to help support us as a part of your mission program, we will be happy to present our work
formally to you and your people.
If you are an individual or family
who would like to help the GBM ministry by supporting us, there are a few things we would like you to consider.
We are a local church ministry because we believe in the
local church; and Gods design for the local church. So before you consider sending us support, we believe you must 1. be tithing
to your own local church, 2. be involved in your local church's mission program, and 3. discuss with your pastor your desire
to support us and seek his advice.
Satan and the World are doing their best to
win our children. Its time we do everything we can to stop him and with the Lords help win the ultimate victory.
